Student Feedback from the 2011 Trainings
Here are some of the comments i received from students after the training. I asked for both positive and constructive negative feedback. The positive words i will share with you, and the other ones i will work with to structure the next training better. Sorry about any grammer errors, i am copying comments verbatim and many of the students are not native english speakers!

“I’m so grateful to have stumbled upon the Jungle Yoga Training, the humour, fun and generosity of spirit of both you guys made the month fly by. I appreciated your efforts to include us in the learning process through keeping an eye on our energy levels, asking for our input before asana classes and the optional classes. Creating a personal space for the group on the yoga platform, the cushions and hammocks added a touch of love and of course the music, Thank you!
I had a great time and I’ve learnt and grown more than i ever expected. The fire pujas were amazing. Ushma’s warmth and support was felt by everyone. XXX” –Anonymous
“I enjoyed that: there was lots of humour in the classes!! ...that the classes were well planned and organised! ... that there was yoga for all levels... the Reggae Fridays-now I love reggae! ... that the schedule felt ok. ...I feel i have been give a ‘toolbox’ to plan my future! Thank you!” –Anonymous
“Great structure and organization! Nice how the practice and lecture followed the theme of the day and get more and more deep into philosophy. Have been happy to be here at the location, to stay focused and be able to get really deep into yoga, without distractions. Wonderful flexibility and humour mixed with seriousness, lovely atmosphere in our group including you both who set the spirit in the class.
In all, this has been a great great experience with the best yoga ever! WONDERFUL! Thank you for sharing with a big open heart! Love you!” –Anonymous
“The whole experience was so enjoyable that it’s hard to take it apart. I loved starting the day with mantras and the way it set the tone for the rest of the day. The structure of the course flowed perfectly, and it was great to experience the concepts in our bodies first during asana practice, and then exploring them more in depth with our minds during lecture. This order allowed us to feel the yoga without any preconceptions about it before picking it apart.
The sense of humour, lightness and the reggae were deeply and sincerely appreciated. I particularly feel lucky to have attended the YTT this time around, as i feel having both Randall and Ushma as teacher adds so much to the experience. You offer different but complementary points of view and this is priceless! It really provided room for debate and developed a felling of inclusion instead of dogma. It felt very open and accepting, not in spite of your different opinions but because of them.
Well, thank you for all the music and teachings and mantras... and all the time, thought, dedication and love you put into this month. I have a feeling I learned more than I think I learned in this short month, and i will keep digesting the experience for a while. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! ”
“Love it, love it, love it!!! Thank you so much Randall and Ushma. The teachings and lectures were especially informative and rewarding. Really enjoyed learning about yoga, tantra and the chakras. I really enjoyed the balance of asana/teachings/meditation/ and free time also.
I loved the flow of the retreat, the intimate and personal human-centred approach, the fun and lightness and especially the reggae yoga. The openness and flexibility was also fun and was about us, e.g. classes on the beach, etc.
Thank you both for your warmth, experience and light!” –Anonymous
